Deluxe editions of Kim's first three albums announced

On the back of Kim’s recent studio album 'Here come the aliens' (and companion live collection), her first three albums 'Kim Wilde', 'Select' and 'Catch As Catch Can' are being re-released by Cherry Pop on January 31, 2020.

Each album is being presented as a plush 2CD+DVD expanded gatefold wallet boasting a raft of previously unissued tracks and new remixes, as well as new coloured vinyl editions. All of the tracks have been remastered by Tom Parker from fresh transfers of the original analogue tapes. All of the new and previously unheard material has been given the blessing of Kim herself. Additionally, each package includes lyrics, rare photos and memorabilia plus new sleeve notes written by Kim Wilde expert Marcel Rijs.

Kim Wilde

Kim's debut album, originally released in June 1981, features the singles 'Kids in America', 'Chequered love' and 'Water on glass'.
Reissued as an LP for the first time since the Eighties, the album is pressed on limited edition yellow vinyl, remastered from fresh transfers of the original analogue tapes. The original artwork has been faithfully recreated, with the addition of a brand new inner sleeve featuring a stunning portrait shot of Kim plus full lyrics.
The 2CD+DVD edition features all the B-sides and alternative mixes from the era, plus a disc of newly created remixes. None of the singles from this album were ever originally issued as 12" mixes but, exclusively for this release, new 2019 mixes of 'Kids In America', 'Chequered Love' and 'Water On Glass' have been created from the original multi track reels. These include faithful Eighties-style extended versions and more radical reinterpretations of these classic hits. The bonus DVD includes promo videos for 'Kids In America' and 'Chequered Love' (including a previously unseen unedited "shower" version), plus four performances from Top Of The Pops.

The original artwork has been faithfully recreated, with the addition of a brand new inner sleeve featuring a stunning colour portrait shot of Kim plus full lyrics.
The 2CD+DVD edition features all the B-sides from the era, the previously unreleased out-take 'He Will Be There' and the non-album singles 'Child Come Away' and 'Bitter Is Better'. Six bonus tracks taken from the RAK archive include rough mixes and early versions from various album tracks.
Also included are more newly created remixes of 'Cambodia', View from a bridge' and 'Child come away'. The bonus DVD includes promo videos for 'Cambodia', 'View From A Bridge' and 'Child Come Away', plus two performances from Top Of The Pops and one on the BBC's Nationwide Special: The British Rock & Pop Awards.

Kim's third album, originally released in October 1983, features the singles 'Love blonde' and 'Dancing in the dark'.

The original artwork has been faithfully recreated, with the addition of a brand new inner sleeve featuring a stunning colour portrait shot of Kim plus full lyrics.
The 2CD+DVD edition features the previously unreleased out-takes 'Rain on' and 'Sail on', the Disconet DJ-only extended edit of 'Sparks' plus rough mixes and demo versions of almost all the tracks on the album. New remixes of 'Love blonde' and 'Can you hear it' complete this set.
The bonus DVD includes promo videos for 'Love blonde' and 'Dancing in the dark' - the latter is released on DVD for the first time - plus two performances from Top Of The Pops and two more on the BBC shows Harty and Crackerjack, plus a 1984 TV commercial.
